May I help you
I read a survey on " the most courteous! " . It was very disappointing to know that not even a single state from India was named in the first 15. Further, it was discouraging to know that MUMBAI topped " the least courteous! " I will disclose the most civilized city at the end of this blog just to hold some suspense :)
Off late I have started noticing how polite people are. In my office, we need to push open a door to cross the main entrance. People just push it and release it the minute they are in. They just don’t bother to see if anyone is coming behind them and that the door might hit them. If a person drops a pile of papers, there are hardly one or two who come to help them. In most of the shopping complexes, customers are not thanked for their shopping. Not like it’s compulsory but it just reflects the country’s mannerisms. Indians take a lot of time to reply to e-mails. We are slow in responding when compared to the rest. When we see a person fall, not only do we stop ourselves from helping them out but also roll and laf just on their face and walk off :
Courtesy crops up with image building. May be to grab surya s attention, girls rush to help a blind man cross the road and to get the babes focus, the guy gets up and offers his seat to the old lady standing next to him in a bus. At least this way they are doing some good: D
I was beginning to believe that, we are living in a world of brutality where morality is looked up with relativism and these "courtesies" are realistically defunct!
There are some incidents that took place, which nonplussed me to come to the above conclusion.
1. I was pushing 2 suitcases and a carrying a bag along a straight path. As it is understandable, I was struggling: P A guy (complete stranger to me) came and offered to push the 2 suitcases. I was really glad to be helped by some one :) I wonder how many of us will really offer to do this when we see some1 being over loaded.
2. Recently my sister and me met with an accident. We were on our scooty. Both of us fell off our bike after being hit. I cud easily get up but my sister was finding it tough coz the bike was on her. I saw my sister bleeding and I was too shocked to react. By the time I cud get up and help her out, there were many who came , washed her injuries, tied her bleeding with a cloth and caught an auto to help us go to the nearby hospital. I owe a million thanks to them :)
3. I was on my scooty and my friend was in her car. She was going in the front and I was following her. We had to take a U turn on a slope. While she was waiting for the vehicles to go, suddenly she lost control and slipped back and the car hit my scooty. The faintest of touch by the car made me drop my bike :P I was trying hard to pick it up. My attempts were nugatory :( Being a neophyte in driving my poor friend couldn’t leave the car and come out. Ha ha ! (I m sure to get slapped by her :P ) There came an old man, picked my bike (with my assistance) and handed over to me. Then he said " sorry ma, I couldn’t help properly as I was just discharged 2 days back after getting a kidney operation done" I was taken aback. There were other people who could have always helped me. I experienced an ambivalence of emotions for him . There are still nice people in this world.
It s after all, these small things in world that make us feel really happy being a part of it.
Though we are much behind in being courteous, it is never like we cannot become better. It would be better if we ape the western courtesies than the western culture ;)
Now for the suspense, the city ranking 1 in being courteous is NEWYORK, USA. " After 9/11, NewYorkers are more caring. They understand the shortness of life "

Less sugar -> Less sense
I recently saw cheenikum . The story is simple. A 64 year old man and a 34 year old lady fall for each other and make their "love" a success against all hurdles!!
*HOPELESS* – is an understatement for this movie
I seriously wonder if LOVE can be this crazy and if yes can it rightfully be called LOVE?
" Marriage defines a new purpose to life"
-- Doesn’t it?
But how can we define these kinds of marriages? Its just an " old age time pass "
Can this time pass have any future? And what happens to the poor kid formed out of this tragedy? (Provided he can still do "IT"): P
ha ha ! Wonder how the kid will feel to have a younger granddad than daddy .
There are some funny aspects as well in this time pass :D
Well this could be a common thing in the west. But in a place where "marriage" is seen as the biggest purpose in life, such ideas should never be encouraged.
To top this all, AMITABH BACHAN – " the Indian idol " himself acts in support of this concept :
Wow. How actuating can he get for his obedient followers. Where will this take our already debauched budding generation?
Here begins the aping of another western concept !
To make this concept more justified, I would suggest Amitabh to get his daughter married to some 70 year old guy. He can find many prospective bridegrooms from our Indian political system :P
" Common! – Its just a movie " – you might say. But never forget that it’s these movies that drive the minds of the mass.
To sum it up, its just another inlet to make our culture go down the drain!!!!!!!!

SIMPLIFY ;)
Living simple simplifies your life and others ! Its just the simplicity in thinking that brings out the profoundness in you. well i m back to blogging on a simple topic :D
Simplicity doesnt suppress our sophistication . off late people who are simple are unfortunately cald "peeled" which is literally translated to " being a fruit ". Simplicity is hard to explain. It can only be understood by being that way. But i personally feel it is kinda difficult to lead a simple life in this generation esp when u see people around adhering to the latest trend. Now this makes me wonder if i ve been living a simple life till now. I would say not always but "yes" most of the times .
Many dont have a choice but to live simple owing to economical reasons. But simplicity can be best defined by people who ve a chance to make de choice of living simple. I'm not here to say that people who lead a lavish life are not successful in life. All I wanna say is that ,"simplicity should not be underrated"
Most of the times when people blindly follow the trend ( be it in the way they dress, think or live) they start getting artificial. when i see many guys trying to be those "hep" kinds, i seriously wonder if they are being themselves. Who in this world should we try to impress by being something that we actually are not. The bottom line is " simplicity reflects your natural self "
So guys - just simplify simplify simplify ;)
I dedicate this blog to legends who ve been very successful in life n yet very simple - like our honourable president Mr.Abdul kalam , Narayana moorthy

YOU CAPTION IT !
The most common thing that prevailed among the vetti junta and was found missing in me was this " Blogging". Here I kick-start this activity to feel complete and a perfect " vetti-being"
Well, everything has a start. Doesn’t it? This is mine!
Initially I used to think that blogging is something to be done by good writers. But seeing my friends Noemaun and Anush blog, I realized that I couldn’t be more mistaken! ;)
Next comes, the topic on which I should blog. Should it be a serious one or something funny? Not like I can do justice to both: D well, I just decided to blog my thoughts!
Great mind’s thoughts are rarely revealed. But sometimes fans request needs to be fulfilled and hence I m here to put my thoughts in print. Anush -> happy? :P
Few of you might have wondered what I mean by my blog sites title. Well for all those who wondered,
FACT1 : Nothing is impossible in life
FACT2: Nothing is permanent in life
Hence ( FACT1 Ç FACT2 ) yields my title -> Permanence is impossible in life !!!
It is true to a great extent. Actually our own life only isnt permanent . Anyways I’m not here to blog on that topic :)
Well, wat is the use in blogging ? Is it a way of letting people know about our thoughts or is it just an advanced way of diary writing ? I personally feel its one of the best way to kill time especially at work place . The easiest way to deceive people around that you are serious at work :D
I have almost reached the end of my blog and all u guys must have understood that I’m yet to find a topic to blog on :D and I don’t see myself finding one too :P Anyways this is just my beginning . Will be coming up with proper blogs in the future. Hopefully :(
I pity on those who plan to comment on this. What can u possibly comment :D
Like blogging is my headache , commenting is yours !! I’m done with my headache and now its on u ;)
